It rained and hailed pretty hard today, right as we were finishing lunch. We had to cancel one English class, that meets outside. Instead, a bunch of us treated Daniel to a fun time at a game place at the mall…well, we all had a fun time actually! Here’s the newspaper ad announcing a week
Tonight after English classes and after kid’s club we’ll be heading to Samuel and Aurora’s house to celebrate Bill’s 22nd American style…with a bonfire, hot dogs and smores…also a 3 leches cake, an absolute necessity here in Mexico. Yesterday we rented three buses and went about an hour and a half away to a public swimming park for baptisms. Today probably 40 of us once again made our rounds around the neighborhood picking up trash. We left the community a LOT cleaner. Prize finds…a glass coke bottle and a boot. After English classes, we played some intense soccer (with Robin maiming several girls…just kidding Robin). Of course, Robin scored two goals too. The girls played a game, then the guys. I put in a valient half-a-game effort and was almost unable to walk afterwards. Then we went over to Maurcio’s house…he turned 17 yesterday. Mauricio
Last night we had A LOT of people in our house…probably around 70. We went through 11 lbs. of taco meat, 11 lbs. of tortillas, 11 lbs. of cake and a bunch more. Here’s some pics.
