Camp Bighorn Returns

Camp Bighorn is a Christian Camp located in the beautiful state of Montana. After an exploratory trip to check out Mexico, 11 leaders and students from Bighorn visited us last March. This year, once again 11 people will be coming to Mexico the end of this week to participate in Camp Bighorn’s “Journey” program. The tagline for the program is “Discipleship through Adventure.” What a great concept!

Their first week is spent here in Ixtapaluca, their orientation week. Although we don’t have them climbing mountains or rappelling cliffs, we do try to make their time adventurous, but in more urban ways. They have to navigate Mexico City’s subway system, and eat rather exotic (some less adventurous people would say “gross”) foods. And we’ll be giving them an orientation on Mexican culture and religion.

Here’s a short video remembering some of their adventures from 2017. We’re going to miss Josh Vander Meer this year…in the video he’s eating tacos with…who else…Samuel.
