Cathy’s Graduation–MCSS Class of 2019

Posted in

Cathy graduated from Mt. Calvary last Saturday! Below…a tribute I wrote to her.

There is not just one world, but many, as diverse and colorful as language and culture, as tasty as food and as warm as human relationship. Concepts of space and time, of friendship and family, of worship and faith. God, of course, is the constant; a Father of many colors and languages. He allows us to live life with grace and compassion, with purpose and poise. Cathy is uniquely bi-cultural, and totally bilingual. She can swim in the waters of two countries, and breathe deeply the air of two cultures.  She knows who she is and doesn’t try to be someone she’s not. In a world of pretenders, she is authentic. Her mom and dad like that about her. We like a lot of things about her.  May God’s grace guide her, as she listens to Him, in whatever language.  Isaiah 40:26

We unfortunately weren’t able to be present, but her grandparents were! So was her brother Daniel, plus a bunch of friends. Congrats, Catherine Ana, looking forward to seeing how you impact your world!
