5th Anniversary this Sunday

Posted in

Over the past week a bunch of us have been working on details for this coming Sunday’s 5th Anniversary celebration for the Iglesia Bíblica Sendero de Vida Jesús María. Hard to believe it’s been five years since 20 of us left the first church here to start services in a new neighborhood.

Normally Samuel does the lion’s share of the graphics work for the church, but he’s having computer problems, so it was up to me to create a 15′ banner with the some of the most significant events of these last 5 years. Here’s what I put:

On March 28, 2010, twenty brothers and sisters left the Sendero de Vida Bible Church in Santa Bárbara, and began services in a rented house in Jesús María.

The small but growing group met in “David’s house” from March 2010 to May, 2011. (David Gómez lived in the house, thus it’s name)

The Sendero de Vida Bible Church Jesús María rented the second floor of this building in May, 2011, and met here until March 23, 2014.

Ahora…¡a demoler y a construir!

God provided 587 square meters of land with hog pens for His church in JM. Now…to demolish and build up! In June, 2013, the property was paid for, and construction began in July and August.

Primer servicio en la propiedad. 24 de marzo, 2014.

First service on the property, March 24, 2014.

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9. May God’s glorious Son receive all the glory and all of the honor!
