A Blessed Weekend (part 1)

Through an interesting sequence of events we were introduced to a Christian rehabilitation center in a nearby neighborhood on Friday. What a special time eating and later praying and playing soccer with the 15 of so members of this faith community. We all sat in a big circle, and we gave our (translated) testimonies in both English and Spanish. It was so encouraging to hear how many had come to Christ and left their addition to cocaine and marijuana. Where do these men find the power to change? In a relationship with Jesus.

The interns are organizing a soccer tournament in the area where they are living this coming Saturday, and invited the young people at the center to participate in the event. They are really excited about it! Check out the short video below.
