A Sweet Time in Texas

I’ve written quite a bit lately on this ministry site about our ongoing partnership with Still Water Community Church and the theological education by extension course Bible Training Centre for Pastors (www.bibletraining.com).

This past weekend Mayra and I were invited to spend a weekend with our friends at Still Water. It was quite a weekend of fellowship and ministry. I was privileged to begin a sermon series on Following God’s Call, preaching in both the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services. After the service we took part in a question and answer time.

A special treat was being able to spend time with Kurt, the pastor at Still Water. Kurt and I grew up together, many decades ago, at Word of Life Chapel in PA. Lots of fun memories!  A big thank you to Kurt and Beth, Frank and Claudia, John and our host, Sarah! (Such a sweet girl, but also a hunter. She shot that big black bear that Mayra is admiring!)

Our second course, Old Testament Survey, begins this Saturday. It is a 60 hour course, which will continue every three weeks or so, ending in  late June.
