American Idol hits Ixtapaluca

Last Friday, Melissa (a.k.a. Paula), Jonathan (Randy) and I (Simon) were the esteemed international judges at a very rural middle school in a little town near here. We judged 9 separate groups, 3 classes for each grade and the songs were…well, interesting. Everything from “We Will Rock You” to “Zombie” to “Imagine.” It was quite a time! And we’re going to do it again, at another middle school, next Wednesday.

We are in the middle of multiple projects, many of which require municipal permission. Please pray for these permits…permission to use nearby basketball courts and soccer fields for our week of sports ministry that is scheduled for June 30-July 5, permits to further amplify our existing church building, which we have seriously outgrown, permits to beautify a park/traffic circle near the church, etc…
