Be Careful Driving in Mexico!

This morning a bus full of 41 passengers was driving north of Mexico City, actually pretty close to where were just about had a terrible accident last December 25…and hit an elephant. The driver of the bus, Tomás López Durán, was killed, and the elephant (Hilda) was also killed. The 41 passengers in the bus were ok, although 4 were hospitalized.

Yes, I agree. Hard to believe. Apparently the elephant escaped from a circus some distance from the highway and wandered into the path of a bus…early in the morning before daylight.

And most of us are worried we’ll hit a dog or something…

Quote of the Day:
“He comes where we are, and he brings us the life that we hunger for. An early report reads, “Life was in him, life that made sense of human existence” (John 1:4). To be the light of life, and to deliver God’s life to women and men where they are and as they are, is the secret of the enduring relevance of Jesus. Suddenly we are flying right-side up, in a world that makes sense.” Dallas Willard, The Divine Conspiracy
