Can you ride a ripstick?

Posted in

Grandpa Fry took the kids to a Toys R Us store in Lancaster, PA, last summer, and Daniel came out with a ripstick, a sort of skateboard with two swivel wheels. You propel yourself by…well, I don’t know how you do it, really, because I value unbroken bones.

Daniel, however, is a pro. He maneuvers himself back and forth and between people and cars with amazing ease. Daniel is getting huge. He’s 11, already growing, and right on this side of adolescence. Cool. And scary!

  1. My two oldest nephews got ripsticks for Christmas, and I nearly broke my ankle on one! Not saying that as a warning or anything, just telling the world about my total lack of balance now that I’ve, um, matured a bit.
