Cathy’s Health, Daniel’s Plans

Thanks to those of you who have been praying for our daughter Cathy. We had another appointment at Hershey Medical Center today, and received a diagnosis. Cathy has a blood condition called essential (or primary) thrombocythemia (also known as thrombocytosis), which is probably hereditary and quite rare, especially for people her age. Simply put, Cathy’s bone marrow produces more platelets than normal. Cathy is exceptional. Of course, we already knew that. There are still tests to be done, and monitoring of levels, etc…but generally speaking this diagnosis is GOOD news. We were concerned that something else was causing these elevated levels, but that appears to not be the case.

Mayra and I are also excited to let you know that our son Daniel was recently accepted into a 3-month oversees program with Operation Mobilization in Belgium. The discipleship program is called fACTOR, you can read more about it HERE. He’ll be leaving early January and be involved with OM through the end of March.

Daniel needs to raise approximately $3K for his trip. If you’d like to help him reach this goal, give online here – https://my.omusa.org/give, or mail a check payable to OM USA and mailed to OM USA Finance Dept. PO Box 444 Tyrone, GA 30290. Please mention Daniel’s name and account number, which is 2305920.
