Christmas Carols, Mexican Jr. Hi style

This morning Jim and Shari Cottrill and I were part of the esteemed judges panel in a nearby Jr. Hi school. 10 different groups sang songs, the order being picked randomly. All in all we heard around 500 kids sing. This is the fifth time, I think, that I’ve been involved in something like this. Mayra was unable to join us today because she was teaching the final class on the book of Hebrews. The ladies of the church have been going through it, verse by verse, chapter by chapter all 2009.

The picture I put at the top of the blog is the snow-covered, active volcano that we can see from our house. On a clear day, it seems SO CLOSE! In the foreground, no, that’s not a jail…it’s an elementary school. Not sure if they’re trying to keep people out…or in…
