Downtown, Classes, last full day for LCC group.

Posted in

This morning, 19 of us piled into a van and headed to downtown Mexico City. We headed to the zócalo first, and took a guided tour to the roof of the National Cathedral. Our guide explained to us the history of the church and the bells in particular. Our rooftop experience afforded an awesome view of the city and of the main square below.

After walking to Bellas Artes, our driver picked us up again and took us to the Ciudadela, a block of shopping (a.k.a. tourist trap). On the way back we saw a pickup truck that had driven into an open manhole, and our group was able to pull the front end of the truck out of the whole.

Tonight…a surprise goodbye party for them all.  Shhh….
