The conference speaker this week, Bryan Hall from Bristol, TN, spoke all week on Elijah, his calling, his discouragement and his restoration. It was really an awesome time! Good to just sit back and absorb! Although not all was fun and games…our team was in charge of the conference this year, which meant, for me, being the MC, keeping track of announcements, that sort of thing. But I enjoy that, so that’s really not a burden.
Seems like about half our total missionaries have left the field within the last year or two, with several other families on Home Assignment in the U.S. If it weren’t for 4 new families (Prusias, Bults, Whites, Burns and Tiffany) we would have really felt like a band of remnants! Nevertheless, it was good to be together, to hear some Rolly-isms, to hear Art’s passionate Bible reading, to get to know some new blood.
