ESL and Sports clubs begin

Posted in

Yesterday we kicked off a week of 2 sports clubs and 1 ESL club daily. The weather was rainy all day…and we were just starting off…so attendance was pretty low; maybe 40 total for both clubs on for the sports and 10 or so for ESL. Today the weather is better…there were probably 30 or better kids at this morning’s sports activity.

Yesterday Jonathan and Monica, two interns, were on our local cable TV channel being interviewed. The interview lasted for over 7 minutes, and they were able to promote the activities as well as share briefly about their spiritual motivations for being here.

I’ve included a picture of Jonathan…and our new church drum set.

We appreciate your prayers during this very busy week.

Quote of the Day:
“Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t. Worship is ultimate, not missions, because God is ultimate, not man. When this age is over, and the countless millions of the redeemed fall on their faces before the throne of God, missions will be no more. It is a temporary necessity. But worship abides forever.”
