Exciting News!

We are excited to announce that Matheus da Silva, a young man who served with us on weekends from October, 2016 through May, 2017, and recent graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute Mexico, will be once again joining the ministry team here in Ixtapaluca!

Matheus returned to Portugal after graduation last May, and has been involved in numerous activities in his local church in Lisbon, as well as involved with WOL Portugal.

There’s a really cool family connection between us and Matheus. My uncle and aunt, Bob and Joyce Fry, served in Portugal as missionaries with ABWE for some 16 years, and practically know Matheus since he was 4 years old, recently arrived with his family from Brazil. They had the opportunity to see Matheus grow both as a person and as a Christian. We visited the Frys last April, in the context of a missions commitment at Leroy Community Chapel. You can read about that HERE.

We are working on the necessary paperwork via FAMEX, a Mexican mission agency that I am involved with, in conjunction with Camino Global. As soon as this process is complete, we’ll give you more details as to how you can support Matheus in his one year commitment to church planting here in Mexico City.  Matheus is a gifted young man…with a great attitude.

Please pray for this entire process! We’re really excited to have Matheus back here with us, serving in evangelism, discipleship, community center outreach and…whatever else God brings our way!

Lots of pictures involving food…not sure how that happened!!!
