Friday discipleship study kick-off

Posted in

This past Friday we began to meet two times…once at 9 a.m. and again at 8 p.m. During both time slots, David and I simultaneously teach two different discipleship studies. The first, more basic study starts with salvation, the security of salvation and so forth. The second study goes into more depth as to the Christian life.

Friday morning there were 7 people in my basic study and 12 people in the more advanced study (all of these people have already completed the basic discipleship study). This picture is for Friday night, when we had 17 people in the basic class and three people in the more advanced study. This was a good turnout–about 40 people involved in taking the study, including at least three people who have not yet made a commitment to trust Christ. One of them, Carlos (15) did this past Friday morning.
In other news…the church organized a birthday party and meal for me after the service today, complete with cake, carnitas, roasted chicken and other goodies. I ate far too much, of course…gotta hit that excercise bike hard tomorrow.
