Fullback or Linebacker?

Posted in

I thought I’d post some pics of Daniel during an early practice this morning (6 a.m. to 8 a.m.) and a late practice last night (8 p.m. to 10 p.m.). Do that math and that’s not a whole lot of sleep in between there for dear old dad, especially given the fact that we’re a good 45 minutes away from the field. If you didn’t see yesterday’s post, check it out.

Can you pick out Daniel? He’s pretty much right in the center of the first two pics, lined up as fullback (in shorts, dark helmet), although it appears that he will be playing either defense end or right linebacker when the season starts. Over the next two weekends the team has two scrimmages, then 6 games.

This whole experience has enabled me to get to know a whole new group of men, all of us hyper enthusiastic about our sons playing football! Some good conversations already.

Quote of the Day:The perceived division between superior and subordinate is no longer very useful in business organizations. In fact, it works directly counter to success. Success today depends on individual and team effort.  Blanchard, Ken  Leading at a Higher Level (p. 71).
