After church today we were invited to Alberto and Claudia’s house, where we played dominos and drank coffee, then at around 6:30 p.m. we headed over the Miguel and Tania’s house for their son Olaf’s birthday party. (In the picture above, Olaf is the boy blowing the candles, and Daniel and David are next to him).
Those of you who have visited us here know how big parties are! Seems like one is going on almost every weekend. Social events like these are great opportunities to make friends.
This is a picture of Olaf…right before my son Daniel shoved his face down into the cake…a rather odd and sometimes marginally dangerous Mexican tradition! (right Marcia).
We covet your prayers for the church and for us during these days…there have been several events that have been significant challenges to the church, and we have become aware that the enemy knows what’s going on, so I guess that’s a backhanded compliment. Still, we need your prayers now more than ever.
