How much fun was that!

When we lived in Iztapalapa for 6 1/2 years from 1997-2003, I was involved every week for a good portion of that time in a university ministry. Every Tuesday, anywhere from 10 to 30 of us would gather in a grassy, lawn area in the middle of the campus and sing songs and have a Bible study. We have been to four weddings of couples that have formed out of that group, and have kept in touch with many of these (former) students.

Yesterday, being a Mexican holiday and all, we invited the ones we have contact with to come for a cook-out, a Settlers party and a Half-Life LAN party (if you don’t know what that is, that’s o.k., and I’m not going to explain). 9 friends showed up, plus David, Tiffany and Melanie from the church here. We ate, talked and played until almost 2 a.m. Great fun!
