Kid’s Club Extravaganza

Posted in

Every year for the past 10 years, long before the Jesús María church began to meet, Marta and Ismael have organized a kids club for the neighborhood. For the past several years, the church has made this club an official part of its annual calendar. Last year, a record 160 kids and young people attended the club.

This year, the theme is airplanes! Not sure which Bible character did a whole lot of flying, although maybe Elijah would qualify, in his chariot/whirlwind combo, or perhaps Paul, who was caught up to the third heaven.

Our home church, Word of Life Chapel, will be helping with the club, and also participating in the construction of the newly purchased church property. It’s going to be a great week! Please join us in prayer for this time as we continue to reach out in love to the young people of our neighborhood.

Quote of the Day: We’re not just “doing church” here. Every week when we meet to worship, every time we serve our King together in public places, every time we interact with one another on the job or around the lunch table, every time we serve one another and serve our neighbors, we’re polishing up the store window. We’re letting people get a clearer look inside, to see what this King and his kingdom are all about. Ed Stetzer, Subversive Kingdom: Living as Agents of Gospel Transformation (p. 189).
