Leroy Chapel Construction and Outreach (video)

What a week we had this past week! Sort of a blur, actually, but the results remain. The Jesús María church now has a concrete stage area with baptistry. New LED lights were installed in the ceiling. Lots and lots of wheel barrels full of gravel and sand hauled by some seriously committed men and young people made it happen! Tim Ruff was an amazing foreman!

In addition, some 45 hearing aids were distributed in two separate events, and over 100 reading glasses. Jill, a member of LCC team and audio specialist, helped probably install some professional hearing aids that were donated especially for this team’s trip. Other activities…lots of visitation, a craft class, some testimonies and painting at the rehab center we try to support, food distribution and more. One woman trusted Christ after one of the outreach events, and attended a Bible study the very next day.

Of course, the relational part of being here, the fellowship with Mexican families and the Mexican church, the friendships formed…really is the most important part of this cross-cultural experience. We serve…and are humbled by being served as well. We realize that the church, the Body of Christ, supersedes and breaks down barriers of language, culture and politics.

Below…some pictures and video.  Thanks Leroy Chapel, for everything!
