Mascot duty once again

This morning was a bit less crazy because Cathy did not have school (teacher in-service day or something), so we only had to get to sleepy kids up and in the car by 7:45 a.m.

Painting the store space/market space began at around 10, and with the help of Alejandro, Aurora, Cathy, Mayra and myself, with some late help from Andrea, we were able to get the first coat of white paint over faded blue. Tomorrow we’ll be buying around 40 benches. English class “registration” is tomorrow from 5:30-7 p.m., and a 10 week class schedule begins on Thursday. Allan and Melanie will be doing most of the teaching. I also start a class here in the neighborhood where we live this Thursday.

I took Daniel and David to the Bible study with Andrea this evening. After singing some songs, we spent the rest of our time walking around the neighborhood passing out flyers for the English classes and hanging 6 posters in key places. After that I was able to arrive late for our prayer meeting, which was attended by 11 people. I arrived home around 10. Which beat last night…but that’s another story.

Here’s a poster with our church mascot, Brigam from Buffalo.
