Ministry and a Mini-Road Trip (Part 1)

Rod’s cousin Marla and her son Kyle came for a visit this past week, and we really didn’t change our schedule a whole lot, although we did visit some pretty parts of Mexico for two days. More on that in the next post.

Marla and Kyle brought down 8 simple hearing amplification devices, and so last Friday we had a small event where Marla and I sang How Great is Our God in Spanish, Mayra gave a gospel devotional, and we were able to bless some people who needed a hearing aid.  mangera3

Our Word of Life friends arrived with a bang on Friday evening, and led the kids club and youth group ministries on Saturday.  Matheus had some water hose issues…the top water hose on the Volvo XC60 broke (still not replaced as of this writing). Then he moved something and broke off the PVC connection for a washing machine, causing a small flood in the Palmas house. But alas, we survived both incidents!

On Sunday, our fourth service as a new church, we saw an uptick in attendance and had a great time as a family singing and drinking coffee and hearing from God’s word.

Below…some pics of the first several days of Marla and Kyle’s time here. Thanks so much, Cuz, for your time her…we miss you already!
