I added some pictures on the blog that Samuel just sent me. Hopefully they’ll help in giving you more of an idea of what we bought and why. The space itself is basically about as big as a garage, but will give us access to a whole park, 3 schools, basketball courts and soccer fields. We are now officially the owners of this space. Uncharted Waters Sports Ministry will love it.
Both in Ixtapaluca and here, kids clubs are happening. Mayra and I had the opportunity to be involved last night at Word of Life Chapel. We sang “Cristo salva” to the tune of “La Bamba,” played a game about Mexico and told the kids about what the Lord has been doing in Mexico. For the second part of the night, I showed a Powerpoint with pictures of some of the events of the last 4 years. It was great!
Dentist appointments…found out that a molar can be “restored.” “Restored” is much better than the other option they gave me… “root canal!” So cool of a local Christian dentist to give the whole family FREE dental care. Wow! David, our candy monster, didn’t have one cavity, whereas Cathy, our vegetarian (she must be adopted!) had 8! Gotta be a lesson there somewhere.
