Noche Mexicana!

Posted in

Last night we celebrated Mexican independence day as a church. The night began with a devotional from Miguel…about how we spend a lot of life trying to be independent, but that we should celebrate the day when we become dependent spiritual…when we confess dependence upon God and trust Jesus. It was good. It was the first time Miguel shared like that.

Then the party began. We had traditional food from 4 different states in Mexico…Jalisco, Veracruz, Puebla and the State of Mexico. Wow, what food! I ate far too much! After eating, each state did something…traditional dance was the favorite! You can see the pictures.

It was neat to have Wendy there, as well as Brenda and her brother Nestor. Others visited us as well. We had great attendance, well over 100 present.
