Not good news

I heard on the radio that it’s been a year now that Mexico City legalized abortions. Since that time there’s been 7,500 legal abortions here in the nation’s capital. Or course, just because something is legal, doesn’t make it morally right. For that matter, something can be ethical and moral but not necessarily godly.

In other news, Mexico scored first place among 30 nations in a study on criminality and violence. In countries like Spain and Japan, 9 out of every 10 homicides make it to court. In Mexico the number is a dismal 2 out of 10. Scary.

Fortunately we enjoy safety here, and we thank God for that. Mexico, for many years, was simply a transport country for drugs flowing up north. But now Mexico is a consumer country. Just another reminder that you can’t play with fire and not get burned.

I hesitate to write this because it might discourage some from visiting. Please don’t let this happen! We live in a fallen world…no matter where you happen to call home.
