Yesterday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon we hosted 19 women in our house. Each month the ladies do a special evangelistic activity. About half the ladies yesterday were non-church ladies. Mayra began with an awesome ham and egg caserole and baked oatmeal breakfast. Then a craft, followed by a gift game…”Now you have it, now you don’t.” I went out and bought 20+ dollar store gifts the night before and Mayra wrapped them up. Each participant gets 3 numbers, and as the numbers are called you can either take a gift from the floor (if there are any there) or steal from someone who already has a gift. Blanca, a lady from the church, closed with an evangelistic devotional.
Our hope and desire is that these women come to know Christ through the friendships formed in activites such as these.
