Samuel’s Art, and Animando Cartoons

Posted in

Samuel Valtierra won 1st place for both of these pictures…more info later.

Ok, I have a bit of time now between ESL classes and prayer meeting at 8pm.

I had a meeting with Samuel and Luis today, for a couple of hours this morning. The thing I appreciate so much about them both is that their focus and priority is really about using their gifts for God’s glory, and to extend God’s kingdom.

The two pictures of pictures below both won first place in a state-wide teacher competition. Samuel is a math teacher for Jr. Hi (in the afternoon) and a physics teacher for High School in the morning. Obviously a small, digital picture can never do art justice. Samuel said that the judges thought that he had printed out a copy…or traced it (speaking of the pencil drawing), such was the level of detail and texture.

Please pray for Samuel and Luis as they seek to advance their business, called Animando Cartoons. Right now there is no way that Samuel and Luis can adequately live off the profits from their business…but I think that it’s just a matter of time before God allows them to be “discovered.”

Perhaps you remember that Samuel and Luis went with us to Spain last March, and had an impact there as well.
