Sight and Sound–Wow!

Posted in

Our days are SO full of wonderful experiences! On Thursday, the day started with a behind the scenes look at the Sight and Sound Theater, a huge, beautiful theater known throughout the east coast. But let me back up.

Samuel and his family are staying at a bed and breakfast near where my parents live. Just so happens the the innkeeper’s name is Justin DeMartino, who grew up in Puebla, Mexico, and attended PCS. He knows a number of CAM families, including the Musgraves, Glads, Williamsons and more. He is an actor and singer at Sight and Sound. So he was able to get us a back stage tour for free.

After the tour, a visit to a life-sized display of the Tabernacle, at the Mennonite visitors center, then a smorgasbord (sp.) meal at Good and Plenty. Then back to Sight and Sound for the presentation of “In the Beginning” at 4:15. What a day! It was David’s birthday too…7 years old!

Yesterday…garage sales in the morning, then to a park, then swimming (with me trying to finish preparations on my sermon!), then to a church softball game, then to Keith and Marcia’s for a cookout. Wow!

Today…trip to Washington D.C., the Smithsonian museums, the mall, and a Nationals baseball game at 7:30. Which puts us back home LATE! Praise God for all of these experiences. Samuel and family are loving it to. Sunday…Jonatan Toledo (I think)is coming for a visit.
