Summer Adventures 2018 Part 1

We’re looking forward to a great time with Hope Community Church, coming soon to help with our first DVBS in the new church in Palmas 1. Here is a brief summary of what’s been going on here so far this summer, with two videos at the end of this post.

A group of 19 (plus Cathy!) came mid-June and were involved in a number of different activities and outreaches, including a very popular baking class and several hearing aid and reading glasses events. You can read more about that HERE.

Ben, Landon and Sam joined us for the first week in July from Leroy Chapel. A big group from LCC came down last year and did a lot of work on the Jesus Maria building. The work continued this year. Of course, it wasn’t all work…we managed to buy some serious fireworks to celebrate the 4th, and set a grass field on fire up at Tina Barham’s place!

We’re excited to be sending 10 kids to Word of Life Bible Institute’s summer camp this year! They’ll be going during both the first and second weeks of camp.

We’re enjoying all three of our kids in the house for this week! Cathy is on summer break from MCCS, and Daniel flew down yesterday with friend Denny Mohr.
