This is going to prove to be a classic post. Below, our daughter Cathy doing a short video thanking all of you for your partnership in helping us distribute about 170 wheelchairs in the past two-and-a-half years.
These wheelchairs are purchased for about $20 a piece from Operation Blessing, a non-profit here in Mexico. They import the wheelchairs from China, where they are manufactured by Free Wheelchair Mission. Last week I sent a formal letter asking for another 80 chairs for early 2016. We hope to transport more chairs for outreach in Oaxaca with Adventures in Life Ministry in February.
So far we’ve donated 37 to rural areas in the state of Oaxaca, and most of the rest of them here locally in Ixtapaluca (Santa Bárbara, Las Palmas 1, Jesús María, San Francisco, Los Héroes, Alfredo del Mazo, Ayotla, Chalco, and beyond).
