Sam just completed a banner for Corban U‘s missions week, which begins October 22. The theme, as you may recall, comes from William Borden’s words written in the back of his Bible…No Reserves, No Retreats, No Regrets.
Art is interesting. the words on the Bible in this banner were actually written out by Tina Barham! The picture in the background, if you look really closely, are people that we know from the church (with Stephen leading the way). The chubby-looking guy behind him is Allan. Ha ha, just had to say that! The message is one that we all need to hear again and again!

Quote of the Day: One of the great ironies of Scripture is what happens next. This persecution, instigated by Saul, sends the people of God out into all of Judea and Samaria, where Jesus once instructed his disciples to go (Acts 1:8). Acts 8:1 says that all of the church’s followers were scattered by this persecution and left Jerusalem—except the “sent ones” (the apostles). Don’t miss the sarcasm here, simply because the translators have used the word apostles. Anyone who could read the Greek would have caught it. The ones who were “sent” were the only ones who didn’t go.
