Summer Teams

We were privileged to be a part of three separate church groups this summer. During this time we participated together in multiple outreaches, including two soccer tournaments, a wheelchair distribution event and multiple baking classes.

During the summer we also visited both a shelter for the elderly and a men’s alcohol and drug rehabilitation center multiple times.

We were able to interact with three different jr. hi schools in the area, doing a physical education class and judging multiple English song competitions.

Service projects included laying tile on over 1,200 square ft. of floor, painting both the church and community center, mowing grass, painting a handball court and cleaning up lots of trash.

Of course we had a lot of fun, too, eating questionable tacos, playing Settlers of Catan and generally hanging out with our Mexican brothers and sisters in Christ.

And of course our group of 4 interns, two participating in missionXchange and two part of Camino Global’s Emerge program.
