Christmas Weekend

Posted in

This weekend was a special one, with a prayer walk Saturday morning, an evangelism time Sunday morning and a special p.m. Christmas church service Sunday p.m.

A bunch of us ended up at a barbacoa (tasty mutton) taco stand after passing out evangelistic literature and engaging the neighborhood in spiritual conversations.

It was encouraging to see a full church, with over 100 people seated around tables enjoying a tasty pork, pasta and bean meal.

Ismael spoke on the different names of Jesus in Isaiah 6:9. Christ truly is our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. And one more extremely relevant name of Jesus…Emanuel, God with us! May we be mindful of the one who saw are helpless state, and crossed all sorts of cultural boundaries to be born in a humble stable, and ultimately die an unjust death. He, being rich, made himself poor to make us rich.
