Closing program and Joint Service

Posted in

This past Friday night we celebrated the end of 12 weeks of English, basketball, dance, baking and guitar classes, with a special exhibition by some of the basketball players, several really neat dance numbers (both Mexican and Texan), a performance by several students in the guitar class, and a Christmas drama in English.

What we strive for in these special events is participation and attendance of non-churched people, and we were pleased that probably half of those who came fell into this category.

Today, we rented a pole tent structure and enjoyed a Christmas service with the first church, Sendero de Vida, Santa Bárbara, or Sendero 1. Always great to be with our brothers and sisters! After the service, some rico pozole, and pork tacos. Hmmmm.
