English and Drum classes

Posted in

One of the ideas that we have for our church and church building is that it become a center for activity and outreach every single day, not just Sundays. We’ve begun to make that happen, with ESL classes kicking off this week again after a two-week break, and drum classes also, every Thursday at 5:30.

Yesterday we had 21 students in English class, many of them new. This is great, because it gives me the opportunity to tell them about the church and invite them to other activities that, it is our hope, will draw them into a closer contact with us and eventually to know our Lord.

Allan had 4 students. Laura Guaza also visited us last night, and saw the church, etc… She will be beginning keyboard/piano classes next Thursday, at 7:30. So Thursdays will be full…ESL from 4-5:30, drums from 5:30-7, piano from 7:30-8:30.

Several of the youth would like to begin giving guitar classes soon also. Picture below…movie star Jonatan Toledo and Brooke Page teaching ESL this summer.

Quote of the Day:
The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, then walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.
