English, Drums, Coffee, Keyboard, Football

Yes, life does go on after the Ohio group, barely, but we’re managing! English, keyboard, drums and coffee shop activities were going strong yesterday afternoon.

Our two “new” 4-week interns are getting their start in teaching English.  Julie, from NW Arkansas, is completely bilingual, and has been a great addition to the team here.  Jordan has also jumped in, teaching English and drums.  Myhiah’s basketball class got rained out today…maybe tomorrow.  Samantha continued to paint the mural.

Daniel and David continue with football practice (and games), and tonight practiced in a very muddy field.  Below, some pictures of them and the team.  Can you pick out the two boys in the bottom picture?

Quote of the Day: When it comes to spiritual authority, the more you seek power, the less true power you will have. Those who hunger for power will get only positional power (and perhaps some expertise authority), because positional authority is the only type of authority to which one can aspire. The other forms of authority are simply granted because of who you are in relation to God and others. They cannot be bought or sold. Spiritual authority does not come from seeking power, but from seeking God, and one does not seek God from a position of strength but in weakness.
