Kidzania

Posted in

Yesterday we drove across the city with the Cottrills, Tiffany and her sister Luissa, and Tina.  We went to a big, affluent mall in Santa Fe, to a place called Kidzania.  It was a cool place.  The kids could “work” doing different jobs, then get paid, money that could then be used to do other fun things in miniature kid city.  The picture below shows the kids doing some radio announcing…the got a CD of the recording afterward.

After being released from Kidzania at around 3 p.m., we found the mall’s food court (along with another 1000 people) and managed to eat.  The trip home took close to three hours (Google said it should have taken 49 minutes), fighting bumper to bumper traffic, and kids who needed to use the bathroom.  Ahhhh!  I knew that driving across the city and back on a Friday would be a fate barely worse than death, and I was right!

Our kid’s vacation time officially ended yesterday…they had two weeks of vacation for Easter (as they always do in Mexico).  Whew…just in time!  They were starting to drive us nuts!

Today…a birthday party for Zeltzin, a girl who turns 18, and a devotional on discipleship, then rehearsal for Sunday, and a men’s meeting later on.

Quote of the Day: Mark Twain used to say he put a dog and a cat in a cage together as an experiment, to see if they could get along. They did, so he put in a bird, pig and goat. They, too, got along fine after a few adjustments. Then he put in a Baptist, Presbyterian, and Catholic; soon there was not a living thing left.
