Why is it that the women have all the cool Bible studies? Not any more! For the last two Friday nights, a number of us men from the church have been getting together at Juan Carlos and Rosy’s house to study the Bible, based on a book by Jim George entitled A Man after God’s Own Heart. The first week 7 men were in attendance. Last night, 11 total. The study starts at around 9 p.m. on Friday evenings and goes to 10:30 or 11 p.m.
The idea for a men’s Bible study actually came from a couple of the guys in the church, who saw the need for men to take Biblical leadership in their families and local church.
Always so cool to see grown men honestly talk about their struggles, admit their weakness and seek God’s wisdom and guidance for their lives. We are blessed with a lot of solid families at the church. Please pray that we as men would understand God’s calling in our lives, and that we would be the men we should be.
