Newspaper Plans and Airport Runs

Posted in

Yesterday we met with a representative from a small newspaper here in Ixtapaluca. We want to promote the church and more specifically the week of free English classes and kids clubs that we’ll be offering to the community during the time the team from Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship is here, from March 10-18. Tomorrow we’ll meet with the rep again to sign a contract. We will be the first church to advertise in this small paper, and are trusting God that this 1/2 page ad will make people more aware of some of our ministry activities.

I left the house a bit before 4:30 a.m. this morning to make sure Tim and Randy got in their taxi to go to the airport. After going to the airport on Tuesday and then yesterday, I didn’t relish another airport run. Last night it took us just shy of 2 hrs. to drive the 20 miles home.

Looks like the numbers as far as the internship program have begun to rise. Right now it looks like 8-10 will probably be coming to Mexico for their summer internship.
