After a challenging devotional time talking about the last days of King Josiah in 2 Chronicles (is that a book in the Bible?) we began to tackle cutting the grass around our community center area and painting a nearby soccer/field hockey field. Then it began to rain.
As I write I’m waiting for Mayra to return with Bill and Bel Roberts. They went the whole way downtown to the Ciudadela, a whole block of shop-to-you-drop opportunities. I get worn out just thinking about it.
It has been a delight to house Bill and Bel for the last several days. Bill has many good one-lines, but my favorite is when he reminds us he is a Vil (Bill) Pecador. Vil sounds like Bill, and vil means vile in Spanish so…oh, never mind, if you don’t get it, that’s just too bad.
Tomorrow begins a three day youth camp that Tiffany and Tina are organizing. We also hope to paint another side of the water tower in front our our market area, painting it a green with white lines for the frontón/handball players that use the tower face.
I’ve been thinking and praying a lot today for Rex, who is Zach and Vonnie Netzler’s son, recovering from successful eye surgery today.
