Standing Room Only

Here’s a shot of our church service on Sunday, with David Mena outside. Thanks for the picture, Jim and Shari. You can’t see all the people right around the corner, or the whole praise band playing either. On a typical Sunday we have a couple acoustic guitars, an electric guitar, a bass guitar and drums, with two or three vocalists.

Today Jim began leading a new study on Tuesday nights, a video series that encourages us to evangelize, and gives us practical steps to do so. Looks like it’s going to be a great study!

The interns are getting a taste of rural Mexico, visiting a little village about 6 hours west of here. Below, Marcy and our daughter Cathy, who will be graduating from 6th grade on Friday. That means new shoes, a tailor-made dress and the whole family invited to a special school presentation this Friday!

Quote of the Day: There is nothing more powerful in this world than a Christian rightly understanding the grace of God and applying that grace to all facets of life. By doing so, we show Christ to our spouses, our children, our friends, our family, our coworkers— even our enemies— that many may be saved.
Driscoll, Mark Who Do You Think You Are?: Finding Your True Identity in Christ (p. 78).
