Wheelchair Rumble

Posted in

Several of us went back into Mexico City today and squeezed 15 un-assembled wheelchairs in our van. Check out Tina’s blog HERE for more details.

We are preparing for a significant outreach event tomorrow (almost today as I write), giving away probably between 15-20 wheelchairs and enjoying Colin break dance, among other program elements.

The painting of a mural began in earnest today, an image depicting the parable of the broad and narrow road mixed with the parable of the sower and the seed. Looks good!

A big thanks to our interns and to the LCC team for great attitudes and a lot of work done so far this week (including around 20 wheelchairs assembled, many classes taught and a spiritual atmosphere in our devotional and book studies.

Pray for Bethany Ortiz…she has had some stomach issues beginning last evening through today. Pray that she’s ready to go tomorrow.

Mayra and I are still keeping four additional kids in our house (in addition to two interns).  Sleeping 11 in our house for the last several nights has been challenging!  Their parents, Miguel and Iris, will be returning from a funeral service in another state tomorrow.

Please pray for our big event Friday at 6 p.m., a community service day on Saturday, then church and a music extravaganza on Sunday afternoon/evening.
