We are pretty familiar with Word of Life Bible Institute out of Schroon Lake, NY. Although we have never personally visited, a number of good friends and their kids have attended and graduated from the Institute. What is pretty amazing is how international Word of Life is. They have Bible Institutes all over the globe, including one in Bernal, Mexico.
Our contact with WOL Mexico began about a year ago when six of us from the two churches here attended a pastors conference sponsored by WOL Mexico (Palabra de Vida). This year we plan to attend again, and invite several more couples, in part due to your generous financial assistance. You can read more about the two-day conference HERE.
Our contact with WOL Mexico continued after the conference, with youth from both churches attending a youth conference in Oaxtepec and Puebla, sponsored by WOL. This past April/May, a group of 8 students from WOL did a number of dynamic children’s programs, as well as giving value-based workshops in a local jr. hi.
We also are excited to be receiving several WOL Mexico students here and involving them in ministry every weekend, beginning in November. These second and third year students will be, Lord willing, assisting us in a new church plant here.
This is so exciting! So does that mean you’ll be keeping “my apartment” through the end of 2017??
