20 More Wheelchairs, 20000 more pills

Posted in

A big thanks to those who have donated for our ongoing wheelchair ministry. To date we’ve donated about 94 chairs, and we’ll be distributing another 20 chairs in days ahead.

20 chairs (unassembled, in boxes) is pretty much the maximum that we can squeeze into the Astro Van. A bonus this time…the box in the front seat contains bottles with a total of 20,000 anti-parasite pills that we hope to send to Dave Miller with Adventures in Life Ministries in Oaxaca.

The down side…I had to travel about 115 miles round trip to get these wheelchairs, and believe me, they are some of the craziest 115 miles you can imagine! I left at around 9:15 a.m. and got home around 3 p.m. The drive, although intense, is beautiful however, especially the area around the Marquesa.

Thanks also to Tina, who is once again filling up her garage space with boxes. And drum sets. And random furniture. And a dog or two.
