Another Flu Update

Posted in

According to the evening news, 103 people have now died as a result of the flu virus here, and a total of 1614 people have been diagnosed (or suspected to have) the flu. That puts the mortality rate at 6.3%, slightly higher than the 6% registered yesterday. You can check out this news almost everywhere. Here’s one article. Click HERE.

The virus has now been detected in various other countries, including Canada and Spain, as well as additional cases in the U.S. Other cases are being investigated in France, Israel, New Zealand and Australia. The epicenter of all of these cases appears to be Mexico, with visitors returning from various parts of this country.

We had our church service today, but all Catholic services were canceled. We met as a group of men after the service to consider what we should do regarding weekly meetings and next Sunday. It was determined that we’ll decide next Friday if in fact we meet or cancel next Sunday’s service.

I know that this news was announced and that prayers were sent up this Sunday in various churches that support us. Thank you for them!
