Spain Art

Posted in

These have been difficult days here at the church. Soon I’ll be at more liberty to say why, but suffice it to say that I never thought I’d been dealing with issues that we are dealing with now.

A helpful distraction has been preparation for our Spain trip in March. By the way, we still need a bunch of money to help Mayra and I, as well as Samuel and Luis, pay the airline tickets and the cost of lodging, etc…while there.

Tonight I went over to Samuel’s house and saw some of the animation that they are working on to promote this summer’s internship. Then we discussed together the art/painting/ evangelistic project that Samuel and Luis will be painting.

We still are not sure what the final product will look like, but we want it to involve elements of creation, fall, redemption, transformation. It will need to be impacting, abstract, and understood on various levels. It’s a joy to work with these guys…really really talented and full of great ideas.

These are some pictures of some very rough works in progress. The last picture is a drawing that Samuel just did over the last couple of days.
