Weekends…a bit quieter! Gracias chicos!

If you’ve been following this blog at all you are aware that we’ve been receiving student interns from Word of Life Bible Institute Mexico since this past October. First Rebeca, Matheus and Cheila, then Karen and Alejandra as well.

Our already busy house got even fuller on the weekends.

Ministry opportunities included kicking off a new church plant in November (that doesn’t happen every month!), as well as weekly kid’s club, youth group and sports outreach activities. Personal evangelism and discipleship. Lots of tacos and ice cream. Settlers games. Etc…etc…

Last weekend (May 12-14) we said goodbye. Well, actually we said “hasta luego” because we hope to see each other again. Maybe soon. Maybe not so soon.

Cheila, one of our two Portuguese interns, needed her wedding dress taken to her in Portugal, so at 4:30 a.m. this morning I took it to the Mexico City airport. I met Matheus there, who was flying (eventually!) to Portugal, and he managed to stuff the dress in his suitcase. It wasn’t pretty!

Our prayers go with you, Cheila, Alejandra, Rebeca, Karen and Matheus. It was a blessed season of life that we were able to share with you!
