Palmas Church first Sunday in 2024

We were delighted to participate in the Palmas Church’s first Sunday of 2024. Afterwards we took a picture…thankful for lots of visitors also this first Sunday of the year!

The night before a bunch of kids descended on our house and celebrated a Mexican custom rosca de reyes where small plastic “baby Jesus” dolls are hidden in a tasty pastry. The person who discovered the little figurine has to buy tamales in February.

We are currently raising funds for the purchase of a church property for this church. If you’re interested in helping out, please let us know!

Last week we had a great time with pastor Martin and his wife Laura and kids Abraham, Ceci and José Manuel. Amanda Nissley also joined us. And of course…a rosca de reyes!

In the weeks ahead we’ll once again be in PA, representing our mission Liebenzell USA at Cairn University and Lancaster Bible College.

If you or anyone you know would be interested in a 4-8 week summer internship with us in Mexico this summer, or if you know of a church that would enjoy serving with us for a week this summer, please shoot me an email at rfry@liebenzellusa.org   Thanks!
